Прошло уже несколько лет, но я до сих пор помню свой первый день в школе. Я был так счастлив и горд, когда мои родители сказали, что я иду в школу, я чувствовал себя взрослым. Я не переживал, но был взволнован. Мой первый день в школе был интересным, полным открытий.
I woke up early in the morning, my mother put a nice suit on me, gave me a lunch box with sandwiches and we went to school with my whole family: me, my mother, father and my younger sister. While we were approaching the big building with a lot of people around I felt a little nervous – I didn’t know anyone there. Everyone was looking so nice: boys were wearing suits and girls were all in dresses and skirts. Every pupil had a bunch of flowers to give it to their first teacher.

The first day of school is one of the most important days in the life of every person, because on this day an interesting journey of nine or eleven years begins. Some of the first graders are looking forward to this moment with impatience, while the other one wants to stay in kindergarten longer. Parents who look with pride at their already adult children are also happy about the long-awaited event. On September 1, a special atmosphere always reigns in the city, because music is heard from all the schoolyards and smart children are walking along the streets with flowers in their hands.

Часть первоклассников ждут этого момента с нетерпением, другая я же мечтает подольше остаться в детском саду. На первое сентября в городе всегда царит особая атмосфера, поскольку из всех школьных дворов доносится музыка и по улицам идут нарядные ребятишки с цветами в руках.
