The city is known for its magnificent churches and cathedrals. Top of the list and Kyiv’s
most popular tourist attraction is Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra (the Caves Monastery). Other notable
churches are St Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery, St Sophia’s Cathedral, St Volodymyr’s
Cathedral and St Andrew’s Church.

Kyiv is a very green city with many beautiful parks and gardens. Many of them are near the
Dnipro river. You can start in the city centre at Khreshchatyk Park and walk right to National Botanical
Gardens around 5 miles away, passing Mariyinsky Park and the Park of Glory on the way.

Kyiv has lots of museums and historical buildings. The Golden Gate dates back to the 11th century
and was once part of the Kyiv city walls. The Motherland Monument, the Soviet Ukraine’s
answer to the Statue of Liberty, towers high above the Museum of the Great Patriotic War.

For a pleasant day in the country visit the open-air museum at Pyrohove. Located on the
outskirts of Kyiv, this is the only one attraction that can’t be reached on foot or by metro.

To relax in the city take a walk along Khreshchatyk or browse the colourful stalls at Bessarabsky
Market.
1. It’s always a pleasure to travel. I think it’s worth visiting the Egyptian Museum. He is in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. The museum was opened in 1902. The museum has 107 rooms. It also includes an extensive library. On the first floor of the museum there are giant statues, and on the
top floor you can see small statues, jewelry, treasures of Tutankhamen
(Tutankhamen), mummies.
2. Do not miss the opportunity to visit the Pyramids and see the famous Sphinx. There are no more famous sights in the world than the Pyramids in Giza. Pyramids are most often associated with Egypt, although pyramids can be found in other countries, for example, in Mexico. In Egypt, more than 100 pyramids, many of which are known only to experts in Egypt.
3. I advise you to go to the pyramids on camels. Camel riding on the Egyptian desert to the pyramids of Giza (the Giza Pyramids) is an unforgettable experience!
4. Do not forget to visit the Khan-al-Khalili market in the city center. This market is part of one of Cairo’s most important shopping areas. I recommend buying gifts and souvenirs there. I regret that I did not take this opportunity.
